Gatorback B145 Professional Carpenters Triple Combo

Honest review after 3 years of daily use. I am a commercial carpenter doing everything from foundations to trim and finish work. These bags have been well used and ive worn them long enough to know what I like and what needs improvement. The quality of construction is top notch. Working in the trench, they drag across concrete on one side and mud, dirt and gravel on the other and still have yet to develop any holes. The plastic lining does a great job keeping the bags from collapsing. The padded belt is quite comfortable and definitely distributes the weight across your back nicely. That being said, there is need for improvement. The belt sizing is misleading. I ordered the suggested size based on their guidance. I had to wear the belt on the biggest notch. If you have to put a sweatshirt on in cool weather, good luck being able to move or breath in it. The belt is also cheap plastic leather and has begun to delaminate. The lack of a proper tape pouch forces me to put my tape measure in one of the main pouches rendering it useless for any other purpose. Sure it comes with a tape clip, but let's be real nobody is going to sit and struggle trying to get the tape clipped on and off of that thing down in a muddy hole while its raining. Tape pouches are superior. Speaking of pouches, the nail pouches are virtually useless. They are so small that you can barely fit a single handful of nails in them, and then by time you make it to your work area, half of them have fallen out due to the weird angle at the top. Not only is the top angled, but the sides are angled making the nail pouches more narrow at the bottom, so by time you are down to the last few nails you can't even reach your hand to the bottom to get them. Almost like the nail pouches were designed with a woman's hand in mind. A set of bags without good nail pouches are useless in my mind. Great quality. Poor design.

Great toolbelt. Sizes run on the large side. Took a long time to ship but overall I'm quite satisfied. You get your moneys worth here

Great pouch I love ho comfortable it is! I opted for the size medium but I highly suggest getting a size bigger. I am a size 32 pants and I’m on the last holes on my belt.. which should fit a 36..

Great belt. Have worn it atop ladders, traipsing up-and-down stairs running trim, and framing. So-far, so-good. Pockets could be subdivided a bit more with more individual compartments, but definitely enough room as is. Even on days when I'm carrying 20-30 lb of tools in this belt, nit a single back ache or soreness.

Good belt so far.It seems to be well thought out, everything is where it should be.Build quality seems above par,I am hoping it will stand up to everyday use.

I’m a framer and wear tool belts 40+ hours a week so this is my opinion. Decent quality, the belt is super comfortable not gonna lie, but it doesn’t have much pockets in the pouches. The hammer loop and the tape holder are made really cheap and I don’t think they are gonna last another few months. The cats paw holder is all ripped now, probably started ripping 2 months after purchase. I’ve had this belt for almost a year and it’s still super stiff and really wide. I couldn’t pass thru the trusses! The pouches kept on hooking on the rafters and most of my tools and nails kept falling to the ground. I’m upgrading to a more expensive more durable toolbelt, I wouldn’t recommend this belt to a framer that works year round

This tool belt is the most comfortable and versatile belt, customer service is top notch..you actually get to speak with knowledgeable clear English speaking people that listen,care and address your concerns and not a machine. Frinds have tried it and want to upgrade theirs.. Most definitely recommend.

This is my second Gatorback tool belt, I'm replacing my 10 plus year old one and it was a fantastic belt. The wide padded back piece, and light weight, means long days wearing it are pain free. I wouldn't buy any other belt.

Only complaint I have about these pouches are they aren’t good for bobbing and weaving in and out of trusses. Other than that fine pouches. Could use one extra pocket, if you bounce around a lot as a framer you will drop loose hand drives and an occasional chalk box. But they’re light weight and tough. Very comfortable.

I had a more mass produced brand of tool belt for about 28 days and luckily after my cousin showed me his gator back and the quality, I returned everything and it is a much higher quality for just a few more dollars. Well worth the price! I am so much happier with this belt where my tools don’t come loose or fall out during normal movement.

Love the durability and quality. The belt is well made. Some of the pouches could be a bit larger. The tape holder and hammer hoop are less than desirable. Seam cheaply made compared to the rest of the rig. Would buy again but you can keep the tape and hammer holders.

These bags are amazing. A ton of dedicated tool storage. I operate a lot on muscle memory so dedicated tool storage is huge for me. The triple combo gives me a ton of room for fastener storage and being able to drop my impact in the extra pocket is huge. No more dropping that off the roof. Significantly less user fatique due to the awesome back brace and suspenders. Having suspenders that are short enough for my exceptionally short torso are a huge blessing. I love these bags. Trying to get my local building supply to carry them. The best bags for the money.
